I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California as well as a licensed mental health counselor in New York. I completed both my undergraduate work in psychology and counseling and my master's degree in mental health counseling at the City University of New York- Queens College. I have worked in substance abuse clinics, community mental health clinics and day programs serving various populations in New York City. I have over 7 years of experience in the mental health field in which I have worked with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, drug and alcohol addiction, suicidal ideation, grief, peer relationships, women’s issues, self-esteem, dual diagnosis, personality disorders and trauma. I enjoy working with young adults and adults to help them achieve overall fulfillment in their everyday life. I also enjoy working with couples utilizing emotion focused therapy to help them build and re-establish the loving connection in their relationships. My individualized person-centered approach to counseling and therapy allows for natural rapport and trust to take seed. I have a passion to support clients in realizing their potential and developing into their optimal selves. It is important for me to help people expand on their possibilities, strengths, and confidence. I provide a safe and supportive space where my clients can unpack their difficulties, express emotions, & most importantly begin the healing process.
