Hi there! Im an Associates Professional Clinical Counselor. I earned my Master of science in Counseling Psychology with Specialization in Children and Adolescence from Azusa Pacific University and my Bachelor's of Arts in psychology from University of Saint Mary. I am grateful to have had a wide variety of experience as a therapist working in mental health in both community mental heath and private practice settings. One of those settings was working with ABA as a behavioral technician working with children and teens with a various development and neurological issues which taught me about patience, compassion, and working with parents and a comprehensive team.
My love for psychology and psychotherapy began during my high school years when I first became curious about how mental and emotional healing truly happens. My interest and passion grew further into my undergraduate years as I continued to study psychology and human services. During my years in graduate school, while studying to become a therapist I often thought about the younger version of myself who needed someone to listen, to understand, and to remind her she wasn’t alone. Today, I strive to be that therapist not just for my younger self, but for anyone searching for support, guidance, and hope.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in humanistic and person-centered principles. I believe that every individual holds the capacity for growth and healing when provided with empathy, authenticity, and a safe, nonjudgmental space. I do my best to create a therapeutic space where all of these factors are present in order help and guide the people I work with through issues such as trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. In my work with couples I utilize a compassionate and collaborative approach. I use theories and methods from Emotionally Focused Therapy as well as research and interventions from the Gottman Method to help partners reconnect, communicate openly, and feel emotionally safe with one another.
My goal as a therapist is to create a space grounded in empathy, authenticity, and trust. A space where people feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions without judgment. As I continue to grow both personally and professionally, my mission remains to walk alongside each person in their journey toward clarity, healing, and a renewed sense of self.
