Embarking on your healing journey is a courageous step! It's one that resonates deeply with me from personal experience. Growing up in Compton, California, I faced various adversities that shaped my resilience and determination. These experiences highlighted the profound impact therapy can have on one's quality of life and personal development, further fueling my dedication to this field. My passion for therapy first began during my undergraduate internship, where I had the opportunity to provide counseling to victims and survivors of human trafficking. This early exposure taught me the power of human connection and the importance of creating a safe, empowering space for individuals to find and use their voices. The journey of therapy is not always linear and may not suit everyone, but it is a powerful process of self-discovery and continuous growth. My therapeutic journey helped me develop crucial coping skills, achieve both academic and personal goals, and embrace the authenticity that drives my practice.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from California State University, Northridge, and a Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, Dominguez Hills. My academic background in sociology provides me with a deep understanding of social systems, privilege, and cultural competency—insights that have been invaluable in my work within mental health.

I'm grateful to have had a wide variety of experience I have working in the mental health field. I have had the opportunity to provide therapeutic services to diverse populations and connecting clients with essential resources. My therapeutic approach integrates psychodynamic therapy, existential/humanistic therapy, and mindfulness techniques. This eclectic methodology aligns with a client-centered philosophy, allowing me to meet clients where they are and support them in taking control of their narratives. I focus on deep exploration, self-discovery, and fostering meaningful, long-lasting change. For couples, I am excited to utilize theories from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to improve communication, understand relational dynamics, and resolve conflicts, thereby enhancing relationship satisfaction and facilitating healing.

My professional experiences have exposed me to a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, stress management, parenting support, LGBTQ+ concerns, grief and loss, conflict resolution, family conflicts, life transitions, academic issues, social anxiety, self-esteem, and adolescent issues such as ADHD and conduct disorders.

I bring empathy, professionalism, and a genuine passion for mental health and personal development to every interaction. To inquire about scheduling an appointment with me you can click here or contact our office at 562-566-4257. Tambien hablo Español.
