I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Masters of Social Work degree at California State University of Long Beach. I have 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in a variety of settings. I am a bilingual and can provide psychotherapy and counseling services in English and Spanish. The experiences that I have had in the mental health field, both as a therapist and personally, have provided me with insight into the importance of psychotherapy and personal growth to help us take care of our mental health needs, be our best selves, and maximize our potential. Early in my education and career in as a first generation Latina I began advocating, educating and breaking mental health stigmas with friends and family. I am passionate about helping individuals improve their emotional well-being and growth through their engagement in therapy. I have worked with individuals suffering from anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma as well as those dealing with issues related to cultural issues, life transitions, grief and loss, relationship troubles, LGBTQIA+, foster care, adoption, and coping with medical issues. I hope to help you navigate through any transitions and difficulties that you may be facing, while providing a safe space to explore behaviors and emotions, develop insight, and learn and practice healthy coping tools. During our sessions you can expect an environment of genuineness, acceptance, and empathy to help you grow, heal, and thrive. I draw from different modalities based on your individual needs and use a holistic approach that takes your personal history, culture, and relationships into consideration. As a therapist, I hope to be able to hold space through the difficult times and celebrate the accomplishments as well.
