I am a passionately-driven Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with an extensive amount of experience in providing psychotherapy and mental health services in both in-patient and out-patient settings. I earned Master's of Arts degree in Marriage & Family Therapy and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology from California State University, Dominguez Hills. I have 14 years of experience in the mental health field providing services to adolescents and adults with varying degrees of mental health challenges including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, complex trauma, drug and alcohol addiction, grief, and co-occurring disorders. My clinical experience has allowed me the opportunity to work with a diverse range of children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and the LGBTQ+ communities in both group and individual settings. I have been trained in various evidence based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused therapy and seeking safety. My passion and desire to help others was first discovered during my teenage years. As I transitioned into my adulthood I became more intrigued with how individuals developed patterns of behaviors and what drives them to make life decisions. I grew up in a culturally diverse area of Los Angeles that has allowed me the opportunity to learn how to maneuver and work with a wide variety of people. I take pride in my ability to adapt to different situations which has allowed me to adjust to the needs of my clients and respect where there are in their journey. I come from a psychodynamic theoretical background and utilize an eclectic approach as I believe that therapy should be centered around the needs of the client. My ultimate goal with my clients is to help and assist them with accomplish their goals and manifest their full potential. I take my time to get to know each individual extensively to make sure treatment caters to their needs and desires. I am committed to helping others improve their functioning, live healthier lives, and to becoming better versions of themselves.
