Hi there! I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I earned my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California as well as bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University. My curiosity for therapy began when I was growing up in a Hispanic community that stigmatized mental health. I recognized the gap between receiving mental health services and the acceptance of seeking support beyond familial relationships. It was then that I realized we have many intersecting aspects of our lives who make us who we are. In my approach to therapy, I utilize a humanistic, person-centered, and strengths-based approach in order to provide a safe and supportive space for my clients. I find it crucial to meet you where you are at in your life and throughout the process of therapy. I want to get to know who you are and how I can support you in recognizing your potential. Working with couples, I utilize an emotion-focused therapy approach to increase communication, emotional understanding, and overall connection. My clinical experience includes working with a range of individuals, families, adults, teens, children, and the LGTBQ+ community within a community based mental health setting. I have supported clients with challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, generational trauma, substance use, codependency, and self-compassion. My recent experience includes working with young children and adolescents entering young adulthood involved with the foster care system. My aim is to provide a non-judgmental space where you can truly be yourself so we can both nourish your growth. It is important to me to help you recognize your own strengths to reach your potential in becoming your ideal self.
